How it Started

Hi! We’re Robert & Shanice Cook — entrepreneurs, partners in business (and in life), and the co-founders of Jesse's Desk. Over the last decade, we’ve built businesses from scratch, powered through late nights and early mornings, and learned firsthand what it takes to run a business from anywhere. Whether at the head of a conference table or on a couch with a laptop, we’ve lived the real-world hustle of modern work.

 

And if there’s one thing we’ve learned?

 

You’re only as efficient as your setup.


That’s exactly why we started Jesse’s Desk: a curated office supply store with a mission to make your workday smoother, smarter, and way less stressful.

To help you thrive in business by giving you access to the tools that support focus, efficiency, and growth. Because when your space works, you can too.

The Problem We Kept Running Into

We spent years wasting money on flimsy supplies that broke, disorganized workspaces that slowed us down, and endless tabs open just trying to compare paper quality.

 

Big box stores had the basics, but they weren’t built for today’s entrepreneurs. And massive online marketplaces? Way too overwhelming.

We needed smart tools. Reliable gear. Supplies that supported our workflow, not fought against it.

 

But more than that, we wanted a place that got it — that understood how remote workers, freelancers, and small business teams actually work. So we built it.

 

We named it after our baby boy, Jesse Hunter Cook, and officially launched it when he turned 3 months old. Building this business as a family is part of our story—and our purpose.
